1. After three days of April showers, the grass is greener on this side of the street.
2. Women’s basketball has come a long way from the 1920s when the uniform my aunt Emma wore consisted of a white middy blouse, knee-length black bloomers, long black stockings, and high-topped white shoes. But knowing Aunt Emma, she was every bit as scrappy as the women in the NCAA final game this week.
3. My new favorite way to escape is to watch Pushing Daisies, a TV show that only ran for 2 seasons, from 2007-2009. Sigh! The cast includes the amazingly talented Kristin Chenoweth, and the show is total fantasy, fun, and style wrapped in one wacky package. What’s your favorite escapist television or movie venue?
