Here are three travel-related posts since I’m on the road this week:

  1. I wish I’d read the Missouri DOT page declaring as structurally sound the 3,510 foot Quincy Memorial Bridge (built in 1928) over the Mississippi River before I looked down halfway across the 3,175 foot bridge.
  2. If you want to see more lovely fall color, travel south 3 hours from central Iowa to northern Missouri and central Illinois. Their trees are glorious, and the roses are blooming wildly…on both sides of the bridge which is structurally sound.
  3. Hopefully, I can cover the puffy cold sore smack dab in the middle of my upper lip with lipstick so people think I’m into botox instead.
