December’s meager daylight rations can make it hard to stay positive. But I came up with three happy thoughts for this dark, December Thursday.
- A functioning furnace and speedy furnace repair people are fully appreciated only after the furnace goes out on a very cold day.
- The Kennedy Center Honorees (Barbara Cook, Neil Diamond, Yo-Yo Ma, Sonny Rollins & Meryl Streep) certainly deserved recognition. But whoever invented flannel jammies should be on the list, too.
- A couple days ago a sassy, red fox trotted down our lane. Maybe it was looking for a pair of flannel jammies and a house with a functioning furnace.
