- The NPR comedy news show, Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me, was recorded last week in Des Moines. The same week, 4 GOP candidates went pheasant hunting with Congressman Steve King. Proof that Iowans are more diverse than most people believe.
- We attended a delightful high school production of James and the Giant Peach directed by my niece. The costumes were gorgeous and the acting was top notch. Kuddos to all!
- Our daughter and son-in-law are here while I’m one-handed and the Man of Steel is laid up with a bad back. So far they’ve fixed our stove, winterized the house, rearranged the living room, brought in the house plants from the porch, washed bedding and remade beds, driven us to appointments and to the store, and so much more. What would we do without them?
