- First, the forecast was for 12 inches of snow, and we got 3. Next, it was for 2 inches of snow, and we got 6. It was good week to not be a weather person in Iowa.
- On the other hand, it was a wonderful week to be a writer who works from home and doesn’t need to worry about the weather or road conditions.
- This week is a good one to remember C. Everett Koop who died Monday at age 96. He’s best remembered as former Surgeon General of the United States, but at our house he’s remembered as the pediatric surgeon whose pioneering work made the difference between life and death for our firstborn.
