And there are plenty.<\/p>\n<p>Both are happily married.<br \/>\nBoth like to call and chat, ask for advice, share recipes.<br \/>\nBoth think I\u2019m much smarter than when they were teenagers.<br \/>\nBoth appreciate the value of being raised by two loving parents.<br \/>\nBoth feel connected to a wide circle of extended family.<\/p>\n<p>But through my work with parents of kids who have significant special needs, I\u2019ve learned about moms for whom such musings are salt on their wounds. For many reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Their children will never marry.<br \/>\nTheir children can\u2019t make a phone call or communicate.<br \/>\nTheir children don\u2019t know how smart their moms are.<br \/>\nThey are raising their children alone.<br \/>\nTheir extended family has deserted them.<\/p>\n<p>My point is not to make mothers showered with blessings play them down or feel guilty. My point is to stir those of us so blessed, myself included, to shower struggling moms with blessings, too. So mosey on over to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.differentdream.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.DifferentDream.com<\/a> and read about some Omaha area moms whose generosity will make this Mother\u2019s Day special for 25 single moms of medically fragile children.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s too late for you and me to do something that big this Mother\u2019s Day, but it\u2019s not too late to help one family.
