Today&#8217;s post explains how she created a very pink, very creative, and very successful feeding therapy session.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">The Pinkalicious (Feeding) Party, Part 2<\/h3>\n<p>On the day of the party, Kylie wore her best pink dress. She also brought her\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B08NK2WV6H\/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_hsch_vapi_tkin_p1_i11\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Pinkalicious book<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and her washable Pinkalicious doll<a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/histre-20\/detail\/b00brkevz2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">.<\/a> We even invited Daddy to take time off work to come with us to the party. When he arrived, he brought pink roses for &#8220;Kylie-licious.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Feeding-therapy-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-10490 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Feeding-therapy-2.png\" alt=\"Autism Feeding therapy 2\" width=\"276\" height=\"297\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We took a quick picture of Kylie with\u00a0Pinkalicious, her\u00a0Pinkalicious book\u00a0and Miss Jenny. Then the party began!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Autism-feeding-therapy-3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10491\" src=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Autism-feeding-therapy-3.png\" alt=\"Autism feeding therapy 3\" width=\"227\" height=\"297\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">Autism Therapy the Pinkalicious Way<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">There is a mirror on the wall, and they looked at themselves eating green peppers. Yes, I just said green peppers! They followed along in the\u00a0Pinkalicious book&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10492 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/autism-feeding-therapy-4.png\" alt=\"autism feeding therapy 4\" width=\"299\" height=\"227\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">And she liked it!!<\/p>\n<p>Next, they tried watermelon. Watermelon was super cool because it had both pink <em>and<\/em> green on it. She was a little unsure about the texture, but she did it!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/autism-feeding-therapy-6.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10493\" src=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/autism-feeding-therapy-6.png\" alt=\"autism feeding therapy 6\" width=\"225\" height=\"297\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They tried strawberries and strawberry ice cream, but the next food was the one Kylie had been waiting for. We are getting ready to try pink cupcakes! Keep in mind, that Kylie wouldn&#8217;t even go near cake or frosting before.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/autism-feeding-therapy-8.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10494\" src=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/autism-feeding-therapy-8.png\" alt=\"autism feeding therapy 8\" width=\"227\" height=\"297\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Even though they looked yummy, she still was afraid to actually touch them. So, she used her tongue instead. This is a coping technique.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/autism-therapy-9.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10495\" src=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/autism-therapy-9.png\" alt=\"autism therapy 9\" width=\"297\" height=\"226\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Then, Jenny showed her that you can TOUCH the cupcake. (I love the look of awe on her face) Kylie decided to try it too. So she declared that she was turning pink and needed to eat some green food. It was <em>her idea<\/em>!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Can we say progress?<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">Pinkalicious Autism Therapy a Success<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">They ended the party with drinking pink lemonade from a\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Crazy-Straws-Plastic-Reusable-Drinking\/dp\/B07ZS5YMNL\/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=silly+straw&amp;qid=1637167904&amp;sr=8-2\">silly straw<\/a><\/span>. \u00a0Kylie <em>loves<\/em> silly straws.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Autism-therapy-12.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10498\" src=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Autism-therapy-12.png\" alt=\"Autism therapy 12\" width=\"226\" height=\"297\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was such a successful therapy day. Today's post explains how she created a<em> very pink, very creative, and very successful feeding therapy session<\/em>.<\/em>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">The Pinkalicious (Feeding) Party, Part 2<\/h3>\nOn the day of the party, Kylie wore her best pink dress. She also brought her\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/histre-20\/detail\/0060776390\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pinkalicious book<\/a>\u00a0and her washable <a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/histre-20\/detail\/b00brkevz2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pinkalicious doll.<\/a> We even invited Daddy to take time off work to come with us to the party. When he arrived, he brought pink roses for \"Kylie-licious.\"\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Feeding-therapy-2.png\"><img class=\"alignnone wp-image-10490 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Feeding-therapy-2.png\" alt=\"Autism Feeding therapy 2\" width=\"276\" height=\"297\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We took a quick picture of Kylie with\u00a0Pinkalicious, her\u00a0Pinkalicious book\u00a0and Miss Jenny. Then the party began!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Autism-feeding-therapy-3.png\"><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10491\" src=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Autism-feeding-therapy-3.png\" alt=\"Autism feeding therapy 3\" width=\"227\" height=\"297\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">Autism Therapy the Pinkalicious Way<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">There is a mirror on the wall, and they looked at themselves eating green peppers. Yes, I just said green peppers! They followed along in the\u00a0Pinkalicious book...<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10492 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/autism-feeding-therapy-4.png\" alt=\"autism feeding therapy 4\" width=\"299\" height=\"227\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">And she liked it!!<\/p>\nNext, they tried watermelon. Watermelon was super cool because it had both pink <em>and<\/em> green on it. She was a little unsure about the texture, but she did it!\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/autism-feeding-therapy-6.png\"><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10493\" src=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/autism-feeding-therapy-6.png\" alt=\"autism feeding therapy 6\" width=\"225\" height=\"297\" \/><\/a><\/p>\nThey tried strawberries and strawberry ice cream, but the next food was the one Kylie had been waiting for. We are getting ready to try pink cupcakes! Keep in mind, that Kylie wouldn't even go near cake or frosting before.\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/autism-feeding-therapy-8.png\"><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10494\" src=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/autism-feeding-therapy-8.png\" alt=\"autism feeding therapy 8\" width=\"227\" height=\"297\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Even though they looked yummy, she still was afraid to actually touch them. So, she used her tongue instead. This is a coping technique.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/autism-therapy-9.png\"><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10495\" src=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/autism-therapy-9.png\" alt=\"autism therapy 9\" width=\"297\" height=\"226\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Then, Jenny showed her that you can TOUCH the cupcake. (I love the look of awe on her face) Kylie decided to try it too. So she declared that she was turning pink and needed to eat some green food. It was <em>her idea<\/em>!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Can we say progress?<\/p>\n\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">Pinkalicious Autism Therapy a Success<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">They ended the party with drinking pink lemonade from a\u00a0silly straw. \u00a0Kylie <em>loves<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/histre-20\/detail\/b003msc8rk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">silly straws<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Autism-therapy-12.png\"><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10498\" src=\"http:\/\/differentdream.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Autism-therapy-12.png\" alt=\"Autism therapy 12\" width=\"226\" height=\"297\" \/><\/a><\/p>\nIt was such a successful therapy day.
