The Man of Steel raved over it so much I had to asked for the recipe and was directed to the <a href=\"http:\/\/true love, in sickness and in health\" target=\"_blank\">100 Days of Real Food<\/a> website. That&#8217;s where I learned that the recipe for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.100daysofrealfood.com\/2013\/12\/03\/recipe-best-pulled-pork-crock-pot\/\" target=\"_blank\">crock pot pulled pork<\/a> was low in sugar and had no preservatives. Plus it was easy, and has been mentioned before, had already received the coveted Hiram Seal of Approval.<\/p>\n<p>This makes a large batch. We ate some, saved some for left overs, and froze the rest for another meal in a couple weeks.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Crock Pot Pulled Pork<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">3 tablespoons paprika<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 tablespoons salt<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 teaspoons black pepper<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">\u00bd teaspoon cayenne pepper<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 teaspoon garlic powder<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">\u00bd teaspoon dried thyme<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">\u00bd cup honey<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">\u00bc cup red wine vinegar<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">3 tablespoons olive oil<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 onion, peeled and cut in half<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">3 to 3 \u00bd pounds pork shoulder, cut in half<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">In a bowl, mix the dry spices together with a fork.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the honey, vinegar, and olive oil and stir until smooth.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Place the onion in the bottom of the crock pot Top it with the 2 pieces of pork and then pour the spice mixture over every side of the meat.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Turn the slow cooker on to low and cook for 6 hours or until the meat is tender enough to be easily shredded with a fork.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Remove the meat from the crock pot and place in a pan to cool. Once it has cooled, shred the meat and return it to the liquid in the crock pot.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Serve warm on buns.
